What the country needs is a national convention to rewrite the congressional rules. The government should not be allowed a two party system. Once a candidate is elected into the government they must lose their party affiliation and assemble with other officials as one unified body.
Removing the top down party structure would be another rule change necessary to comply with democratic intention. Seniority significance should be eliminated.
Congress should vote from their home states. Eventually there would be an electronic infrastructure secure enough for the public to vote.
Electronic voting would start with a server in every precinct, accessible and verifiable by local count.
If we want public policy that benefits the public, we would be wise to include new congressional rules.
