Democracy produces an authority derived from the bottom up. All other forms of organization practice an authority from the top down.
To protect and defend the constitution means to protect and defend our democratic process.
I had to pledge to that oath just to be in this race. And that is what I intend to do. That is why I am running for congress, to protect and defend the constitution.
